NOTES:
Presentation of the bottle is really quite nice. Wrapped in paper, corked and capped - it kind of feels like you're opening something special. Pours straw yellow/gold into a tulip with a large 4 finger white/off-white head.
Nose is of Belgian yeast and hops. A little bready and peppery. Some orange citrus. There was a bit of sour when I first cracked the bottle but only a really faint wiff of it in the glass.
Medium to light bodied with high carbonation. Starts out a little thin, gets a little thinker and silkier in the midfield and then dries as it goes down.
Taste is bitter hops for days. Some lemon up front and bitter orange peel in the finish. Bready yeast. A little astringency in the linger.
Drinkability is pretty high but this is a pretty bitter and decentrly dry beer so there is a bit of palette fatigue after a whole bottle.
Overall this is a very nice beer and a classic for the style.
