NOTES:
Bottle marked February 1, 2008.
Pours a clear orange/amber into a tulip, producing a two finger off-white head.
Nose is sour and predominately lemon with just a tad bit of barnyard funk coming through with some grass and dry wood. Very clean.
Mouth is light to medium bodied with medium to high carbonation. Prickly and lively, but not overly so, with a nice dry finish that tends to linger more and more with each sip.
Taste is sour and much like the nose, with lemon, grass and dry wood.
Drinkability is high - even though it's quite puckeringly sour, this is a clean, crisp beer that goes down easy.
Overall this is a great gueuze. It's not overly complex, but is solidly drinkable and refreshing, while deliving some awesome sourness. No off-flavors present whatsoever, making this a very clean and enjoyable sour brew.
