NOTES:
Pours a murkey chestnut brown into a tulip with a 2 finger off-white head. Some mild lacing as it goes down.
Nose is bready and yeasty. Pomegranate and raison. A little bit of milk chocolate. No sour notes... already disappointed.
Medium bodied with medium carbonation.
Taste is decent. Bready, yeasty, some maltiness and a tad bit of hop bitterness. Overall decently balanced, but also nothing of note to really set it apart. From the name and the fact that the bottle calls it a "belgian wild ale", I was expecting some wildness to this one and am sorely disappointed in the lack of sour or brett character. I get a tiny bit of sour as it starts to warm but overall it's just not there.
Drinkability is decent but I'll be done after the one bottle. After several hits from Mikkeller this one is souring (no pun intended) their reputation in my head a bit. Not their best effort.
